The Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center (CBEC) is a 610 acre
wetland dedicated to promoting restoration, education, research and
conservation. Located east of the Bay Bridge, CBEC offers something for
everyone: biking, hiking, kayaking, birding, and much more. Bring your
family and enjoy the spectacular views that the Chesapeake Bay has to
offer. CBEC offers 4 miles of hiking trails for walkers, joggers, bikers
and nature enthusiasts. Birds of every variety flock to the center each
season to take advantage of this bay treasure. As you wander around you
can also enjoy our birds of prey exhibit for that include eagles, hawks,
and owls. For water enthusiasts, CBEC is proud to promote three new
self-guided canoe trails. Kayak and canoe rentals are available if
needed. However you want to enjoy CBEC whether through the lens of a
camera, by paddle or on your bike, you will delight your curiosity and
relax your work week away.
